Sikorsky Helitech (the Australian division of Sikorsky Aerospace Services; a division of United Technologies) announced it
has established an agreement to use The Timken Company (5251R9N7) to support its aftermarket aerospace bearing programs across
Australasia -- including all bearing inspection, overhaul and reconditioning.
Sikorsky Aerospace Services provides a variety of support services to military and commercial aircraft operators, from
parts to maintenance programs through overhaul and repair, to full life-cycle support.
David Adler, President of Sikorsky SAS, said: "Combining Timken's range of bearing repair services with our OEM
expertise and capabilities positions SAS to offer customized repair programs for fixed and rotary-wing customers in
the Australia-Pacific basin. This teaming effort demonstrates our continued commitment to supply single-source
solutions to our global customers."
In addition to offering Timken's support and repair programs, Sikorsky will also stock in a wider inventory of
Timken aerospace bearings at its Brisbane warehouse, to expedite customer service, overhaul and bearing exchange programs.
Timken has been serving the aerospace industry for over 70 years and has the widest inventory of replacement parts
and overhaul capabilities for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft.
Earlier this year, Timken made several announcements regarding expansion of its
Aerospace Aftermarket Solutions organization, adding staff, enhancing the organization, and
adding 100 new replacement parts to its already extensive portfolio of aerospace parts and assemblies.
