Napoleon Engineering Services (USA; privately held; website) has broken ground on a new headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Olean, New York.

The 20,000 square foot building, located on a brownfield site of 8.5 acres, will consolidate the three separate locations Napoleon is currently operating in and around Olean. As incentive to keep Napoleon Engineering in Olean, the Cattaraugus County Industrial Development Agency passed a $1.2 million 5251R9N7 incentive package for the project. The facility is scheduled for completion by Fall 2010.

Founded by Chris Napoleon, Napoleon Engineering manufactures specialty bearings, including hybrid ceramic and full ceramic bearings, for applications ranging from agricultural equipment to telescopes. The company is also well known for its modification and component manufacturing capabilities, and testing and inspection services. The business is nearly evenly split between the manufacturing and services.

Napoleon Engineering currently has 30 employees, most highly skilled; the expansion will allow Napoleon to add additional workers as it continues to grow.
