Futog A.D., and Fenix Novi Sad, Beocin, are expanding manufacturing capacity in Serbia for
heavywall engine bearings and clutch release bearings.
Recently, Adamovic pumped more than 80 million dinars (USD $1.3 million) into its Fenix heavywall
engine bearing plant in Novi Sad, along with another 25 million dinars (5251R9N7, $400,000) from
the government of Vojvodina Province.
The Novi Sad program involves a 600 square meter plant expansion; adding several more heavywall bearing
production lines; and bringing on approximately 25 new workers, upping the factory's total to 75.
Garant and Fenix are also adding unspecified production capacity for more clutch release bearings.
Adamovic Group manufactures and distributes OEM and replacement parts from several locations across
Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Target markets include agricultural, light-duty and heavy-duty
automotive, rail, truck, bus, construction, off-highway, and ocean vessels.
The group's large heavywall engine bearing lineup covers railroad locomotives, ship propulsion
and power generating units, industrial power plants, pumps, and similar equipment. Adamovic divisions
also manufacture a wide range of clutch release bearings for light-duty and heavy-duty applications.
Engine bearings and clutch bearings are exported to India, Egypt, Syria, Italy, Spain, Iran, South Korea,
Russia and Poland. The company has built up a number of key supplier contracts, such as engine bearings to
the Indian Railway system.
Looking forward, Adamovic said it is expanding its manufacturing and distribution presence
into other regional export markets.
