NTN Eliminating All Temporary Workers

NTN Corp. (Japan: Tokyo: 6472) announced the elimination of virtually all temporary and contract workers across all of its facilities worldwide.

The cutbacks, in response to global economic conditions and an effort to salvage full-time positions, are expected to be in full effect by the end of first quarter 2009.

After recent cutbacks, more than 1,000 temporary workers still remain in NTN facilities. The reductions will bring NTN globally down to the range of 10,000 employees.
