Brammer Plc (UK;
BRAM)
has acquired CBS Rotary Power Motion (UK).
CBS, with six locations, is the key distributor of bearings and power transmission equipment in the UK Midlands.
The move gives Brammer, "the leading market position in the Midlands."
Brammer will pay as much as £9.5 million for CBS -- £5.8 million payable over three years,
and a potential £3.7 million additional, performance-based earnout, from 2012.
In early 2007, Brammer extended its pan-European operations by acquiring
Fin S.A., Poland's largest distributor of bearings and power transmission equipment.
In mid-2006, Brammer acquired Aandrijvingen Ramaekers NV, making it Belgium's largest bearing
and power transmission distributor.
