DXP Enterprises (USA; NASDAQ: DXPE) has acquired Rocky Mountain Supply (USA, privately held), a distributor of bearings and power transmission components.

Headquartered in Greeley, Colorado, RMS has six locations in Rocky Mountain states with total sales of approximately $13.6 million.

DXP is building itself into a major distributor of bearings, power transmission and MRO products. In mid 2007, DXP nearly doubled in size via the $105 million acquisition of Precision Industries.

For RMS, DXP paid approximately $3.9 million cash, and $700,000 in notes payable to RMS owners.

Mac McConnell, DXP CEO, said: "We are excited about the opportunities to expand DXP's products and services into Rocky Mountain Supply's existing customer relationships and expanding their premier customer service model in existing DXP service centers."
