The government of India has approved 19 new Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) plans.

Among those, NSK Ltd. (Japan) received clearance to set up a wholly-owned subsidiary to handle NSK bearing distribution in India. It will handle sales to industrial customers and distributors.

The business is notable also because it will apparently be wholly owned and operated by NSK, rather than a joint venture or run by an Indian company.
