Massachusetts Rebuild Service & Export Inc. (MRSE; website) announced it has appointed Steve Mansur as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Mr. Mansur reports to MRSE President Frank Gaumond. After 18 years with Heald Machine, he spent the past 15 years with Service Network Inc., most recently as SNI's Marketing Manager.

MRSE remanufactures precision grinding machines, specializing in Cincinnati Milacron-Heald grinders. Bearing manufacturers are MRSE's primary market.

Mr. Gaumond said: "We are pleased to have Steve join our growing company. His many years of experience in the grinding machine industry will help MRSE to achieve our goals for future growth."

Asked for his view into the bearing industry today, Mr. Mansur told eBearing: "Right now, and hopefully for the foreseeable future, the bearing industry is going strong. This holds true, particularly in large-size bearings for construction and industrial equipment." Looking forward, he said: "We see a tremendous potential for increased sales for at least the next two to four years."

Mr. Mansur concluded: "As you know, many of the largest bearing manufacturers are expanding all over the world. We feel that we are in a good position for future growth as most of these companies have relied on the Heald product line for ID grinding for many years. Our service provides them with equipment as good as the OEM and includes many upgrades to go along with today's technological improvements. Customers actually get a more productive machine than was originally shipped from the factory, at a fraction of the cost of new."
