Garlock Supplying Timken Seals, Isolators

Garlock Sealing Technologies (USA; a division of EnPro Industries) announced it has signed
an agreement for Timken (USA) to market Garlock products worldwide.
Timken will roll out Garlock's Klozure line of large-bore oil seals and bearing isolators to its North American
industrial distributors beginning November 2006, and to other world markets in 2007.
At this point, the arrangements with Garlock do not include mechanical seals.
In March 2005, Timken Industrial added Federal-Mogul's National seal line for that segment.

Paul Baldetti, Garlock's President, said: "This alliance with Timken broadens our global supply
network and expands our presence in many important markets. Klozure products are well known for
offering superior bearing protection technologies. Now, they will be available on a much wider
basis, giving us access to new customers while providing all of our existing customers with
more options for obtaining our products as well as improved service."
Garlock said Klozure's full lineup of seals and isolators will still be available through
its traditional distribution channels.
The products being picked up by Timken include large bore seals up to 90 inches diameter, including
oil seals, split seals, lip seals, face-type seals, and external seals. Bearing isolators will include Klozure's
full line of metallic and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE; the generic term for Teflon) units: flanged,
flangeless, grease-purgeable, split pillow block, step shaft and vertical.
EnPro said it is investing in modernizing and additional production capacity at Garlock's
Palmyra, New York, plant to keep up with the added demand Timken will brings.
Mike Arnold, Timken Industrial President, said: "Introducing these large-bore seals and isolators is
part of our strategy to bring a more complete line of friction management products to the industrial
distribution channel. Customers have come to rely on Timken's expertise in managing friction in a
wide array of applications, and we are continually proving new products and services to help them
improve their performance."
