SKF AB (Sweden), the world's largest bearing manufacturer, has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (WSI), and the pan-European sustainability benchmark.

This makes SKF's sixth consecutive selection for the Sustainability Indexes.

DJSI indexes are intended to provide benchmarks for financial products, based on the concept of corporate sustainability; the indexes also serve as benchmarks for fund manager performance measurement.

Based on the Dow Jones Global Index, the DJSI analysts put SKF at the top of the "Industrial Goods and Services" sector.

The pan-European sustainability benchmark consists of the top 20% of companies in the pan-European index.

SKF has also, for the fifth year running, qualified for the FTSE's FTSE4Good Index. The FTSE Group, an independent financial index company, created FTSE4Good to, "identify and facilitate investment in companies that meet globally recognized corporate responsibility standards."
