U.S. Bearing Industry CDSOA Claims Outlined

This month, CDSOA payouts are scheduled to be made to eligible U.S. companies.
The controversial U.S. Continued Dumping and Subsidy Offset Act (CDSOA or Byrd Amendment) instructs
U.S. Customs and Border Protection to distribute antidumping and countervailing duties to
U.S. companies participating in successful trade actions against the products and importers.
Customs collects and holds these duties in escrow, case-by-case, during the fiscal year.
Companies eligible to participate in the customs duty payouts must then file documented claims for that
year's disbursements with Customs.

by the Customs and Border Protection for bearing-industry-related CDSOA payouts
eligible for fiscal 2004. The payouts listed are for guidance only; these estimates were offered by
Customs earlier this year but not recently updated.
