SKF Brazil Reports 2004 Sales Jump 10%

SKF do Brasil (Brazil, a subsidiary of SKF AB, Sweden) reported sales for the first half of 2004,
up more than 10% over the same period in 2003.
Through the end of 2004, SKF said it expects sales inside Brazil to climb more than 15% over 2003.
Earlier this year, the company announced aggressive plans to expand production at its plant in
Cajamar, near Sao Paulo, answering
strong domestic demand and in an effort to move into local export markets.

SKF Brazil imports 55% of its bearings from SKF plants in Sweden, Germany and France. The Brazilian
plant produces the other 45% in its plant in Cajamar, exporting a growing proportion of its output to
SKF distribution facilities around the world.
