Timken India Reports Third Quarter 2003 Results

Timken India Ltd. (India, a publicly-traded, 80%-owned subsidiary of The Timken Company, USA) reported
sales and earnings for third quarter 2003, ended September 30.
Sales were up modestly, to Rs 594.8 million (USD $13.1 million), from Rs 524.8
million ($11.6 million) in 2002.
Profits, however, almost doubled to Rs 71.7 million ($1.6 million) from
Rs 39.6 million ($874,000) for third quarter 2002.
