eBearing.com scored an important milestone in October, and we
wanted you to know about it because you made it happen.
Spurred by widespread interest in a series of key industry developments
during early October, we easily broke September's
record of 94,000 visitors, roared past the magic 100,000 mark and
kept on going -- all the way to 144,778 !
In late 1998, after 22 years in the bearing industry, we set out to scratch
an itch -- and fill a void which had continually frustrated many of us
through the years. That is, to develop a universally accessible and
independent news,
information and commerce resource,
dedicated solely to the world bearing industry.
Since then, eBearing has been continually evolving to become the industry's
definitive and neutral
resource. We even survived the "dotcom" boom (and turned down
venture funding which would have forced eBearing.com to become
an ill-fated an "ASP" and/or "Portal" and/or "Vertical" -- aka "dotcom roadkill")
to outlive dozens of heavily funded would-be competitors. eBearing.com is still
here, slowly but surely developing new resources and
extending coverage of the industry. Over the next few months,
you will see even more new features
while we also expand the site's reference functionality.
BUT ... we would not be here today without YOUR SUPPORT.
Our deepest thanks go out to all of you who made this milestone happen,
the thousands of you who have worked to help us along in so many ways over
the past four years, and especially to the large number of you who continue
to recommend eBearing.com to your friends and colleagues. Thanks also to
U.S. Customs, which has been referring many duty and tariff inquiries to
eBearing.com (prompting an ongoing program to further refine and
expand that section under
Legislation).
