Uwe Loos, forced out as CEO of FAG Kugelfischer Georg Schaefer AG
when it was taken over by INA Holdings, has landed the CEO position
at Dekra, another major German business and his third in five years.
Prior to joining
FAG in 1998, Mr. Loos was chief of production at Porsche.
Mr. Loos heads Dekra AG (Stuttgart, Germany), the largest company
within the privately-held Dekra Group. Dekra is an automobile testing and
inspection company with a nationwide network of test centers, education
and training centers. Dekra also performs general vehicle
inspections at its own locations and through over 27,000 licensed
shops -- inspecting almost 7 million vehicles each year. The
company also offers fleet management services.
In the CEO position, Mr. Loos is replacing Gerhard Zeidler.
Mr. Zeidler is stepping out of his CEO contract two years early
and taking the reins of Dekra's supervisory board.
