Kaydon Acquires Tridan Group in Diversification Move

Kaydon Corporation (Ann Arbor, Michigan) has acquired the Tridan Group for $48 million
in cash.
Tridan is made up of the following companies: Tridan International Incorporated (specialty
production equipment for commercial and residential air conditioning systems), Indiana
Precision, Incorporated (specialty tooling manufacturer for the plastic packaging industry)
and Canfield Technologies Incorporated (lead-free solders). Total sales for the three Tridan
companies is in the range of USD $30 million.
Kaydon's President and CEO, Brian Campbell, commented, "The acquisition of the Tridan Group
of Companies is an example of our long range growth strategy to further diversify Kaydon's
product and market profile."
