INA Building New U.S. Manufacturing Complex in South Carolina

INA Bearing Company (Fort Mill, South Carolina) announced that it will be significantly expanding
its facilities here, constructing a new 280,000 square foot manufacturing complex in Fort Mill. The building
will be split into four 70,000 square foot phases.
Currently, the Fort Mill complex has a 93,000 square foot manufacturing plant, an
office building and an engineering building. INA now employs approximately 600 people
at the facility, but would not comment on how many new jobs would be created.
Groundbreaking is scheduled for later this month, with the first phase completed by October 2000.
INA Waelzlager Schaeffler oHG (Herzogenaurach, Germany) was founded after WWII and
currently employs approximately 24,000 people in various facilities worldwide.
