Timken Consolidates Rail Bearing Facilities

      The Timken Company (Canton, Ohio) announced that it will consolidate its Rail Bearing Service subsidiary.

      Located in Knoxville, Tennessee, Rail Bearing Service operates three reconditioning locations and an office location. All have been consolidated into one new facility.

      Rail Bearing Service sells and services bearings and related parts used in rolling stock and other equipment. Approximately 1.5 million railroad axle bearings are sold each year, with a large proportion being reconditioned/remanufactured bearings.
