We are presently seeking a highly motivated Senior Applications Engineer to play a key role
in executing our new strategy. Come join our Engineering team in our Montville, New Jersey facility.
This contemporary facility is our corporate headquarters and contains a state of the art Engineering
Laboratory and our Custom Bearing Lubrication Center, complete with clean rooms and proprietary cleaning
and dispensing equipment. In this highly visible position you will be on the leading edge of bearing

| Primary Responsibilities and Expectations |
Use your ability to analyze and solve complex problems in the areas of motion control, power transmission,
and tribology. Provide bearing expertise to answer customer technical questions and create solutions for
existing and new applications.
Directly interface with customers to detail the technical requirements of their applications, including proper
materials and lubricants, precision levels, fitting practices, and design of mating components and hardware.
Focus on customer needs and service. Develop strong relationships with customer engineering and technical
personnel. Some travel is required.
Recommend appropriate designs to meet performance and life requirements, including the design of special
bearings. Use our custom software package to calculate static and dynamic load ratings in accordance with
ISO, DIN, or ABMA standards. Provide supporting bearing calculations, such as L10 life, stiffness and
deflection, and preload.
Using the resources of the Engineering Laboratory conduct failure and post service analysis of field
return bearings. Become proficient at operating noise and vibration analysis equipment, torque testing,
raceway curvature tracing, air gages, and ring geometry form scanning. Prepare detailed written
reports for customers and Sales with recommendations for design changes or enhancements.

| Qualifications and Competencies |
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are a must.
- 10+ years work experience in the bearing industry; experience in an ISO-9000 or AS9100 environment is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office required.
- Proficiency in Solid Works, or other CAD experience.
- Passionate, motivated and driven to meet objectives. Ability to maintain a high energy level and multi task in a fast paced environment.
- Resourceful and adaptive with the ability to find ways around obstacles or develop new approaches and/or methods.
- Organized and disciplined with time management skills. Ability to properly identify and set priorities.

| Essential Functions |
- Work with inside and outside sales to provide a high level of customer service on all technical
and design issues, bearing applications engineering, and overall technical support
- Review and approve product specifications and drawings. Prepare drawings and 3-D models using SolidWorks.
- Assist in costing and preparation of customer quotations
- Work with manufacturing and vendors on technical and design issues
- Prepare technical bulletins and provide training to inside sales staff
- Support new product initiatives and participate in web-based marketing program
- Other duties as required
