  Position Description
The U.S. Sales Manager is responsible for the growth and maintenance of large U.S. accounts and relationships to ensure customer service, establish new market development, and implement key customer-specific business strategies.

He or she will manage and develop accounts contributing to $1MM - $5MM sales margin, including 12-15 key accounts and numerous small accounts throughout the U.S.

In addition, the incumbent provides internal support to the U.S. Sales Representative in processing all inquiries, quotes, samples and orders in a timely manner.

This position reports to the Business Development Manager.

  Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for growth and maintenance of large U.S. accounts and relationships, pricing policies, and U.S. market strategies.

Specific areas of accountability include:

 • Large account relationship development and management

 • Sales growth projects

 • New application development support

 • Pricing policy control

 • Marketing communications strategy formulation and implementation support

 • U.S. market analysis and growth

 • Manage U.S. sales representative for administration and reporting

  Experience and Qualifications
Must have prior sales experience, ideally with bearing applications and / or related business experience.

A person in this position must possess strong business administration skills including the ability to be well organized, thorough, detail-oriented, the ability to prioritize their workload and follow-up.

Must be capable of identifying new market opportunities and capturing product/application specifications relative to materials offered.

The individual must be able to execute the complete project management process and have a working knowledge of personal computer systems.

Must be able to act independently and exercise sound judgment to respond to customer needs and resolve customer complaints.

The individual must possess strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.

The incumbent must have a working knowledge of pricing policies, payment terms and contracts, importing, exporting and international trade practices including letters of credit.

  Education
 • Engineering degree specializing in bearings, or MBA degree
